Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, who is dying from pancreatic cancer, gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving talk, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals."

inspirational and emotional clip. its heartening to know great people walk among us

76mins youtube vid (LONG)

11mins on oprah windfrey (SHORT)

the longer 76mins one has more energy and you get a fuller package of what randy wants to convey, but i got abit lost with all the technical details somewhere in the middle. the other one requires a shorter attention span, you get the main points albeit on a smaller scale.

"i think its great that so many people have benefited from this lecture, but the truth of the matter is that i didnt even really give it to the 400 people at Carnegie Mellon. I only wrote this lecture for 3 people, and when they're older they'll watch it."
